Honeycomb out of the hive just the way the bees made it.  We set up the hive so that the bees can store the comb neatly and efficiently so that they can make more for us.  Frames weigh in at about 4 lbs.  Each frame is slightly different.  Honeycomb will last forever.  It was found in the pyramids in Egypt.  It was still edible.  Don't refrigerate Honeycomb.  Store it in a warm place so that it will not crystallize.  Honeycomb can be eaten by itself or served with cheese.  Honeycomb on a cracker, apple slice or baguette with a slice of Blue Cheese is positively incredibly delicious.  This is one of Mrs. Marshall's favorite desserts.  This year's California Wildflower Honeycomb harvest was pulled from the hives in August & September of 2007.  Honeycomb is harvested once a year.
